A second visit to the Linth-Limmern power plant took us this time to a spectacular scenery high in the Alps of Glarus.
Here the Limmernsee and the higher Muttsee are retained by dams, harnessing their waters for energy storage and production through the subterranean power plant deep within the mountains.
In 2022, the Muttsee dam became the site of the largest alpine solar plant, which serves as a pioneering project for renewable energy and a test of alpine solar technology.
